Heather graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Merchandising. She relocated to New Orleans in January 2009, where she accepted a position at LSUHSC as the Department Coordinator for the Department of Genetics.

Heather’s main responsibilities include being the Administrative Coordinator for the Department of Genetics Graduate Program; Summer Student Research Internship Program and the Department of Genetics Seminar Series. She is also responsible for updating & maintaining the department website; coordinating faculty candidate visits and providing faculty support.
