The faculty directs a specialized multidisciplinary team for comprehensive management of childhood hypoglycemia, diabetes, and prevention of the long-term complications of diabetes.
The LSUHSC Endocrine Division maintains the only facility in the Gulf South for determination of integrated hormonal concentration, useful in the diagnosis of growth hormone and adrenal hormone disorders. Inpatient and outpatient consult services are also available.
