Interviews for the intern class of 2010-2011 academic year

are officially underway!

Welcome to the Big Easy!  New Orleans is one of the most dynamic cities in the United States.  It offers a slew of culinary delights, world class jazz, funk and brass band music, as well as beautiful architecture and weather.  Since the storm in 2005, New Orleans is experiencing one of the most progressive and transformative periods in recent US history.  Thank you for your interest.  We hope you can visit. 

 

 

Overview    

 

Interviews begin in October, and will generally take place on Fridays.  

 

The interview day begins at Ochsner, meeting with faculty members, and followed by a tour of the hospital and clinic with a resident. 

 

Then, the applicant has lunch at 'Restaurant Patois,' in uptown New Orleans, with two other residents. 

 

The day continues in the afternoon at the Depaul Hospital campus, with a tour and interviews with LSU faculty.

1:15-1:40pm       Presentation/Tour of program at DePaul Hospital by resident

 

2:00-3:30pm       Interview with   Erich Conrad, M.D.

                                                   Program Director, LSU - Ochsner

                                                   Psychiatry Residency

                         Interview with   Mark Townsend, M.D., 
                                                   LSU Hospitals-DePaul Campus
                                                   Medical Director for Psychiatry, 
                                                   LSU Interim Hospital
