JUNIOR RADIOLOGY COURSE
JULY 2011
The Junior Radiology Course will be held:
- July 5 - 8, 2011: Lecture Series (New Orleans, LA., MEB Room A)
- July 8: Final Examination, 8:00am (MEB Room A)
The goals of the course are to:
- Familiarize you with basic imaging principles and radiation safety
- Familiarize you with array of imaging modalities available
- Teach you what is important for ordering and viewing studies
- Teach you the fundamentals of CXR (and KUB) interpretation
- Provide an interesting bridge between the L2 and L3 years
Attendance will be required:
- Roll will be taken for all presentations
- 80% attendance will be needed to pass the course
- Signing for others will not be tolerated
- Signing for others will result in failing the course and referral to CPC
Course grade will be determined by:
- Attendance
- Passing a final exam (comprised of practical and written components)
Additional requirements and Course Information:
- There is no required textbook for the 2011 course
- Radiation safety outline (placed on website)
- Refer to Website postings for selected lectures from PowerPoint Lectures
- Course Review and Handouts can be obtained the day of the lecture
