Welcome to the department of urology website. Our site is currently undergoing a major renovation, similar to our department. Since Hurricane Katrina, we have re-located our group practices in Metairie and Uptown New Orleans. This has been a blessing for us, as it has brought us in closer contact with our patients and referring physicians. Our faculty includes specialists in pediatric urology, minimally invasive urologic oncology as well as female urology and voiding dysfunction. We are currrently providing patient care through Childrens Hospital and the LSU Healthcare Network.

Our residency program, which is combined with Ochsner Medical Center, has been in constant operation since the hurricane. We have eclipsed our pre-Katrina surgical volumes, and we have encountered no interruptions in our residents' training. Our residents have become active participants in many state, regional and national meetings as our research programs continue to grow.

We are actively expanding the size and services of our department. As we grow, we will strive to adhere to the mission of education, research and patient care, which is the essence of the LSU School of Medicine.
