| Deborah French, Class 1981, a dear friend to many, died May 16 2008 in Clearwater, Florida, complications of ovarian cancer. She had practiced pediatrics there for 24 years. Please, keep her daughter Sadie and husband Greg in your prayers.

| I just want all of you to know that I think of class of '72 all the time. Have been away from Louisiana now since 1984. Morgantown is 1200 miles away and don't get back much anymore, except to bury old folks.
I was going to come to the Fall Gala last year but one of the old ones got sick. Had a nice post gala redfish fishing trip planned.
Will try to make this year's gala.
Am still practicing Gastroenterology in Morgantown, WV. Retirement is about three years away, I hope. If anyone wants to catch up, email me.

| Hello fellow docs. I am now retired from neurosurgical practice but deeply involved in research and writing. I have a newsletter-The Blaylock Wellness Report and have written three books and chapters in three medical textbooks. I am still writing peer-reviewed medical articles and popular articles for a number of publications. In addition, I do interviews on TV and have done over 100 syndicated radio interviews. Some retirement. My old neurosurgical teacher, Dr. Ludwig Kempe is now 93 years old and living in the mountains of North Carolina. We have remained close personel friends. My wife of 36 years, Diane and I have 2 sons, Ron and Damien. We have three grandchildren, the latest a girl born this month. All healthy. My website is www.russellblaylockmd.com. | I just happened to read where you retired. I use to work for you in 1998-1999. You may not remember me, my now ex-husband (my old name was Pack) & I moved to Nashville from Knoxville. He was the state trooper. Anyway good luck & Congratulations!!

| Family doing well and still living in hometown of Eunice. Son, Lazo Nicola, just graduated from Westminster Christian Academy and will be attending LSU-E in the fall. Was recently re-elected to a 2nd term as ASBP national secretary/treasurer after serving as a trustee since 2000. Elected as St. Landry Parish Coroner and has served since 1995. Highlight of year was being selected to ring the closing bell of the NY Stock Exchange with former NYC Mayor Ed Koch and NY Lt. Gov. Mary Donohue as Louisiana's Platform rep. for National GOP Convention. Was really cool !!!

| i have recently retired from my GI practice in nashville and am doing part-time consulting and teaching and a lot of traveling. jenny and i split our time between our homes in nashville and ft. morgan, ala.(super close to new orleans).looking forward to the next reunion. have been saddened to hear of the deceased members of our class of 1971.dan gremillion
