We are pleased to announce that in October 2008, we received notification from the ACGME that we have been approved for a new, independent LSU Anesthesiology residency program.

Application Process

Applications for residency positions will only be accepted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service, http://www.aamc.org/audienceeras.htm).

Deadline for submission of completed applications is January 1, 2012. Interviews will be held from November - February and are by invitation only.

Complete applications through ERAS should include:

Scanned photograph
Dean's letter
3 additional letters of recommendation
Official Medical School transcripts
USMLE scores sent from the NBME
Personal statement

Foreign medical graduates must also have an Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate. Our program does not sponsor H-1B visas. The program does approve J1 visas sponsored by ECFMG.
