Dr. Haas was elected to the Board of Directors for the Association of Medical and Graduate Departments of Biochemistry (AMGDB).  The AMGDB is an association representing the 178 departments of Biochemistry present at medical schools and universities within the U.S., Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean basin.  The AMGDB advises the Federal government, AAMC, LCME, and regulatory agencies regarding science, funding, and education policy within the fields of biochemistry, nutrition, and molecular biology
