Hamid Boulares, PhD, earned his PhD from the University of Connecticut (Storrs) in 1997, and is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology. His research interests include the use of cell culture systems and animal models to study the intricate relation between poly(ADP) ribose polymerase1 (PARP-1) and the effect of oxidative stress in asthma, atherosclerosis, and colon cancer.
