Key to the Cure 2009 Kickoff Gala
Fundraiser Benefiting Cancer Research in Louisiana

Saks Fifth Avenue's charity shopping weekend will start with a kickoff gala at the store on Canal Place. Over the years this gala has become a great New Orleans style party. During October 15-18 all of Saks stores nationwide will donate 2 percent of sales (up to $250,000) to the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium. The event has already raised close to $200,000 from sponsorship and ticket sales. One thousand people are expected to attend the gala, thirty restaurants will offer their food, and open bars will offer specialty beverages throughout the store thanks to Republic National Distributing Co. Dance music, available on each floor, will be played by Julio and Cesar, the John Boutté Band and the Delfeayo Marsalis Uptown Jazz Orchestra.

Complimentary parking will be provided the night of the gala by Roger Ogden, Darryl and Louellen Berger and The Garage at Canal Place.
