Cooperative Groups through the MB-CCOP

The Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center is an active participant in several cancer-based research groups that perform multi-site clinical trials:

• Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG)
• Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG)
• Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG)
• Children's Oncology Group (COG)
• National Surgical Adjuvant Project for Breast and Bowel Cancer (NSABP)
• Comprehensive Cancer Care of Wake Forest University (CCCWFU)
• Cancer Trials Support Unit (CTSU)

Through these organizations, the Cancer Center is using its ongoing affiliations with community clinics and hospitals to provide patients across south Louisiana with broad access to clinical trials sponsored by the National Cancer Institute's Minority-Based Community Clinical Oncology Program (MB-CCOP).
