Scheduling Procedures
Your schedules are made on the first day of the rotation at orientation. You are required to work12 12-hour shifts divided between the MER and FT - 8 shifts in the MER, 4 in the FT. Shifts are from 7 am - 7 pm and 7 pm - 7 am. At least 3 of the shifts must be on weekends (Friday night - Sunday night). The shifts should be evenly split between days and nights (i.e., 6 of each). The goal is to have 2 or 3 students on each shift in the MER, and 1 student per shift in the FT. All LSU school holidays are considered rotation holidays as well, but you may work them if you choose.
All student schedules are entered into a special Yahoo! clerkship calendar, and are easily viewable and accessible from any computer.
