Alan Paul Broussard, MD, MT, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Director of the LSU Family Medicine Residency Program at University Medical Center in Lafayette. A native of Baldwin, La., Dr. Broussard recieved his bacherlor's of science degree in Medical Technology from LSU Medical Center, New Orleans in 1986. Prior to entering medical school in 1990, Dr. Broussard was employed as a medical technologist at University Medical Center. He graduated from LSU School of Medicine - New Orleans in 1994 and completed his Family Medicine training at University Medical Center in 1997.
After fulfilling a two-year service obligation with the National Health Service Corps in New Iberia, Dr. Broussard spent three years at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. He joined the LSUHSC faculty in September 2002. He was recertified by the American Board of Family Medicine in 2003 and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
As one of the principal investigators of LOSS (Louisiana Obese Subjects Study), Dr. Broussard has a special interest in physical fitness. He is an avid practitioner of taekwondo and regularly competes at national and international levels. He also has a special interest in medicolegal issues.
Dr. Broussard is married to Dr. Deidre Stelly, who is also a board-certified family physician and graduate of LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. They have three sons - Noah, Jacob, and Adam.
Kathleen Lacour Rosson, MD

Dr. Rosson received her bachelor’s of science from LSU and attended LSU School of Medicine - Shreveport. Dr. Rosson has been in academic medicine for eighteen years, the last thirteen of which have been spent at University Medical Center. Her special interests include colposcopy and community and preventive medicine.
Linda K. Ogé, MD

Linda K. Ogé, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Chief of the Family Medicine Department at University Medical Center. Born in Crowley, La., Dr. Ogé graduated from the University of (Southwestern) Louisiana at Lafayette in 1987 with a bacherlor's of science degree in biology. Subsequently she attended LSU School of Medicine - New Orleans, garnering honors in pharmacology, biochemistry, microbiology and graduating first in her class.
In 1992, she returned to Acadiana to complete her residency in Family Medicine at University Medical Center. While there, she served as chief resident in her second and third years of residency and was twice honored as the Best Resident Teacher. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Ogé spent twelve years inprivate practice. In October 2007, Dr. Ogé joined the LSUHSC faculty.
Dr. Ogé is married to Mark Ogé, a local business owner, and they have three children - Michelle, Zachary, and Mary Katelyn.
Kent Humble, MD

Kent Humble, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine. A native of south Louisiana, Dr. Humble received his medical degree and Family Medicine training from LSU School of Medicine - Shreveport. He helped develop the Family Medicine Residency Program in Alexandria, La., then spent several years in private practice in Lafayette before joining the UMC faculty. In addition, he maintains a part-time private practice in Rayne, La.
Dr. Humble has special interests in gastroenterology and gynecology and instructs residents in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, colposcopy, and LEEP. He is also preceptor of the Minor Surgery Clinic at UMC. Dr. Humble is a musician and also enjoys tennis, golf, and south Louisiana fishing.
Wayne "Boo" Cestia, MD

Wayne "Boo" Cestia, MD, is an Assitant Professor of Family Medicine. Originally from New Iberia, Dr. Cestia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a bachelor's degree in biology in 2001. He graduated from LSU School of Medicine - New Orleans in 2005 and completed his Family Medicine residency at University Medical Center in Lafayette in 2008.
Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. Cestia practiced urgent primary care in Lafayette. His special interests are in the areas of Sports Medicine and procedures. He is the Family Medicine student block coordinator/scheduler. Students can expect to be exposed to a wide variety of medical settings, from OB to Sports Medicine, which make up the true essence of what Family Medicine represents. Dr. Cestia is also the Family Medicine Rural Scholars Track physician liaison for students during their two years at UMC.
Dr. Cestia is married and has three children. His hobbies include family fun, salt-water fishing, hunting, triathlons, and landscaping.

L. Glen Mire, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine.He graduated from LSU School of Medicine - New Orleans in 1973. After completing his internship at San Bernardino County Hospital in California, he served three years in the US Army, stationed at Frankfurt/Main, West Germany. Upon returning to the U.S., he completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
Dr. Mire’s academic interests include Geriatric Medicine, hospice care, and palliative medicine. In addition, he has been one of the team physicians for the University of Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns since 1991.
He and his wife, Mary, have lived in Lafayette since 1979. They have four children and eight grandchildren. One of Dr. Mire's unique accomplishments is a 3.5-mile open-water swim across Pensacola Bay in 1985.

Lainie V. Moncada is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine and Director of the Family Medicine/Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program at University Medical Center in Lafayette. After graduating from LSU School of Medicine - New Orleans in 1998, she completed a residency in Internal Medicine there in 2001. She subsequently completed a clinical and research fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore in June 2003. Dr. Moncada is a board member of the Louisiana Geriatrics Society, as well as a member of the American Geriatrics Society and American Medical Director’s Association.

Dr. Tami LaGraize is a 1996 graduate of LSU School of Medicine - New Orleans. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she served as chief medical resident. In 2001, Dr. LaGraize completed a two-year Geriatric Medicine fellowship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. After five years in private Geriatric practice in Lafayette, she joined the faculty of the newly accredited Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program at University Medical Center in Lafayette.
Dr. LaGraize is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine. Her areas of expertise include geriatric assessments, dementia evaluation and treatment, palliative care, and home-centered care of older adults.
David O. Reehlmann, MSW, LCSW, BACS

David O. Reehlmann, MSW, LCSW, BACS, is Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Coordinator of Behavioral Science for the Family Medicine Residency Program at University Medical Center. He is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of that major component of resident training.
Mr. Reehlmann obtained a bachelor's degree in Sociology from LSU in 1971, prior to being drafted into the U.S. Army. In his military occupational specialty of Social Work/Psychology Procedures, he held positions in both southeast Asia and New Jersey, including at an outpatient psychiatry clinic at Long Binh, Vietnam.
After obtaining a master's degree of Social Work from Tulane University in 1975, Mr. Reehlmann worked for the Louisiana Department of Corrections. There, he was involved in the initial development and operation of a special treatment unit for emotionally disturbed inmates in Arabi, La., where he became Chief Social Worker in charge of the clinical staff.
Mr. Reehlmann's interests include issues related to the physician-patient relationship, interpersonal skills, treatment adherence, the problem of substance abuse, and medical ethics. He is on the Ethics Committee at UMC and is a member of the Acadiana Area Optimal Care Committee, an area-wide ethics consultation resource for patients, families, health-care providers, and facilities. He has worked as a social-work consultant at Washington Correctional Institute, a state penitentiary in Angie, La, and is active on the First-Step Detox Unit at University Medical Center in Lafayette.
Very interested in canoeing, Mr. Reehlmann has paddled streams in at least 10 states.
