Ayan Banerjee is a graduate student in the Department of Genetics at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center, New Orleans. He is currently working in Dr. Ed Grabczyk's laboratory on research involving Friedreich's Ataxia.

Ayan was born and raised in Bombay, India, and received his Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from The Grant Medical College, Bombay. He completed his Internship from the JJ Group of Hospitals, Bombay.
