Jill P. Hutchinson is a Program Coordinator working under Dr. Diptasri Mandal. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Tulane University of New Orleans, Louisiana. She previously worked as the diagnostic care coordinator for LSU in the Breast Center for the Medical Center of Louisiana of New Orleans under Dr. Mary Abell. She also worked under Dr. Elizabeth Fontham at LSU, researching the epidemiology of lung cancer in south eastern Louisiana, as well as researching the digital divide amongst senior citizens in senior centers across Louisiana.

Before becoming part of the LSU family, Jill worked under the direction of Dr. Lynn Besch at Tulane University Medical School, as a clinical research assistant studying the affects of several HIV drugs in patients from underserved populations across Louisiana.

Jill became a part of LSU in 1999. In 2006, she joined the Department of Genetics. She is currently working under Dr. Diptasri Mandal studying the determination of genetic susceptibility to Lung Cancer in families from southern Louisiana.
