Format Outline of Honors Research Proposal

Use the following headings to prepare the outline of your research proposal.  Depending upon the detail required in the methods section, the outline need not exceed 2-3 pages.

                    1.   Title of Research Proposal

                    2.   Advisor and Departmental Affiliation

                    3.   Rationale (why the project is important)

                    4.   Specific Aims, i.e. hypotheses to be tested

                    5.   Methods (include statistical methods for analyzing data)

                    6.  Anticipated Results

                    7.   Significance-how your proposed results will fit with existing data

                    8.  IACUC or IRB number
