Dr. Luu is currently the Principal Investigator for the Tulane University/LSUHSC Clinical and Translational Research, Education and Commercialization Project (CTRECP) where she is involved in a metabolic study to characterize the pathophysiology parameters contributing to diabetes development. Dr. Luu also serves as President of the Community Empowerment Service Agency (CESA), a non-profit organization serving the diverse multi-ethnic communities of the Greater New Orleans Area.
