Dr. Mohan completed her internship and residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. During that time she served as the clinical preceptor for the Pre-clinical Year Physical Diagnosis Course. After completing her residency, she worked for Med Corp Louisiana performing assessments for disability claims.

In 2005 she served as a volunteer physician with the Red Cross where she developed and staffed medical clinics for evacuees from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and served as medical consultant to Red Cross administration in Alexandria, Louisiana. As a result of this activity, Dr. Mohan received the Award for Medical Service which was conferred by the U.S. Army at Fort Polk. LA.

In 2006, she served as a volunteer ship's physician and consultant in Port Au Prince, Haiti with Friendships, a large-scale medical relief mission, overseeing treatment of 50-100 patients daily for a month-long mission.

Dr. Mohan is a member of the American Medical Association and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
