Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 2003, then went on to complete and internship and residency in Internal Medicine followed by fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. From 2003 to 2007, he was an Instructor in Internal Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine, and served as Chief Medical Resident for the 2006-2007 academic year. He joined the faculty of LSU School of Medicine in 2011.
