After finishing prerequisites and a Chemical Science degree from Florida State I attended the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. I look forward to the challenge of medicine and am happy to call New Orleans my new home, but will always remain a diehard Bucs fan.

Preliminary Interns

Cole Claiborne, MD

LSU New Orleans School of Medicine

Born and raised in New Orleans, I didn’t know how amazingly unique this city was until I left to go to the bustling metropolis of Lexington (Virginia) to attend Washington & Lee University. I subsequently graduated in business, worked in DC as a litigation consultant (which I hated!), and then pulled the 180° career change, quitting my job to begin post-baccalaureate pre-med classes at UNO.  Six years later, I had a Masters in Public Health and Doctor of Medicine from LSUHSC-New Orleans. I will train in Dermatology at Tulane in 2012. I enjoy watching the domination of the Who Dat Nation (featuring Drew “Breesus”), fishing, cooking, skiing (aquatic and and the frozen kind), and tennis.
