The Section of Hospital Medicine at LSUHSC is committed to providing the highest quality of care to patients admitted to the hospital.
Hospitalist are experts in managing the clinical problems of hospitalized patients and in coordinating care with primary care physicians and specialists. Patients benefit by having a doctor who is focused on their care while they are in the hospital and a doctor who is more available to them than the traditional office-based internist.
Faculty in the Section of Hospital Medicine attend patients at the Interim LSU Public Hospital, Ochsner Medical Center -- Kenner, and Touro Infirmary. They are also very involved in resident and medical student clinical education at each of the three venues.
