John D. England, MD

Bio

Dr. England is Professor and Head of the Department of Neurology at the LSUHSC School of Medicine in New Orleans.  He is the current Secretary/Treasurer and President-elect of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and Chairman of the Polyneuropathy Task Force of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  He is a past-President of the American Academy of Clinical Neurophysiology.  He serves on the Quality Standards Subcommittee, the State Affairs Committee, and the Public Relations and Non-Member Communications Committee of the AmericanAcademy of Neurology.  He has been the Editor for the Neuromuscular Disorders section of Current Treatment Options in Neurology since 2003.   His major research interest is the pathophysiology of disorders of peripheral nerve, and he has authored or co-authored over 180 articles.
