This project is one of three arms of a nine-university consortium on micro- and nano-scale technology that aims to generate novel tools to define communication among neurons, and to design strategies to manipulate intra- and intercellular functions.

This is a partnership of four Louisiana institutions to promote faculty development through research to develop a critical mass of competitive extramurally funded investigators, enhance infrastructure for neuroscience research through the development of core research modules, and provide mentoring to young faculty.
