LSU VITREORETINAL FELLOWSHIP CLINICAL ROTATIONS

>

The LSU Vitreoretinal fellows rotate between Baton Rouge and New Orleans every four months. There is 1 fellow on the New Orleans rotation which includes clinic and surgery with Drs. Doss and Reinoso, and working in the clinic at UMCNO. The Baton Rouge rotation has 1 fellow at the LSU/OLOL Eye Clinic with Dr. Aravinda Rao and 1 fellow on a split rotation who works with both Drs. Rao and Doss.

Our fellows see a wide range of pathology including medical and surgical management of uveitis, aggressive diabetic disease, retinal detachments, macular degeneration, epiretinal membranes, and macular holes to name a few. The volume of surgical pathology is extensive and fellows leave LSU having attained the skills necessary to excell in a career in vitreoretinal surgery.
