Dr. Shenava completed her undergraduate training graduating magna cum laude from WashingtonUniversity in St. Louis. There she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. From there she moved to Kansas City and received her medicine degree from the University of Kansas. She subsequently completed her Orthopaedic Training from University of Kansas, School of Medicine – Wichita. Following residency, she completed a trauma fellowship at Flinders University Medical Centre – Adelaide, Australia. Following which she pursued her interest in pediatric orthopaedic surgery with a fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Upon completing her fellowship Dr. Shenava joined the LSUHSC faculty as Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2007. Dr. Shenava maintains as interest in all aspects of pediatric orthopaedic care with an interest in cerebral palsy and lower extremity deformities. |
