Bio
Dr. Pei is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his Pathology residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in San Diego, California and became board certified by the American Board of Pathology in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Pei was recruited to the LSU Department of Pathology by Dr. Jack P. Strong and served as Associate Professor and then Professor of Clinical Pathology at the LSU School of Medicine for over 11 years during which time he trained several current faculty members in anatomic and clinical pathology. Dr. Pei returned to LSU Department of Pathology in September 2011 and was appointed to the Ronald A. Welsh Professorship of Pathology. In addition, Dr. Pei currently serves as the Director of Surgical Pathology.
