Bio

Dr. Zieske was certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology in 1998 after residency training at LSUHSC in New Orleans. He was Specialty Board Certified in Hematology (Hematopathology) in 2004 after training under Brian Smith M.D. at Yale University School of Medicine.  He became a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) in medical school at LSU in New Orleans and was the recipient of the Medical Alumni Association Osler Award, LSU Medical School class of 1993.  He is a dedicated teacher and was the recipient of the Professor of the Year Award for the sophomore class of 2001 and 2002 (LSU, New Orleans) and the Resident Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Teaching Award 2003-2004 (Yale    University School of Medicine, Pathology Department). His primary area of research is Cardiovascular Pathology, with particular interest in the natural history and pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. His current research focus concerns the molecular pathogenesis of coronary atherosclerosis.
