CLINICAL INFORMATION: Twenty nine year old female with hypertension and a 5 cm nodule in the adrenal gland. The sample for TEM is recovered from the paraffin block.

COMMENT: The norepinephrine containing neurosecretory granules usually have an eccentrically positioned dense core not seen in these photographs due to poor processing of the sample (paraffin embedding) (See case 20).
