WR7, case # 84-5

Clinical information: 59 year old man with a pelvic tumor.
Diagnosis. Pelvic Tumor: Metastatic Hepatocellular Carcinoma.
Diagnostic features: Micro bodies (Short arrows), bile canaliculi (Long arrows).

WR 7, case # 85-1

Clinical information: 64 year old man with a pulmonary mass.
Diagnosis.  Lung, mass resection: Carcinoma with adeno and squamous differentiation, common in pulmonary carcinomas.
Diagnostic features: Desmosomes, tonofilaments, tight junctions, cytoplasmic lumina, short microvilli.

Clinical information: One year old boy with pneumonitis. 
Diagnosis:
Pulmonary biopsy: Pneumocystosis (Pneumocystis carinii)
Diagnostic features:
Pneuomcystis carinii microorganisms (arrows).

Clinical information: 7 year old boy with proteinuria, hematuria and decreased renal function.
Diagnosis
.  Renal Biopsy: Dense Deposit Disease (MPGN type II).
Diagnostic features:
Interrupted dense GBM (short arrows) and subepithelial humps (long arrows).

 

 

WR 7, case # 86-1

Clinical information: 20 year old female with nephrotic syndrome and anemia.
Diagnosis
. Renal biopsy: Fabry's Disease.
Diagnostic features:
Lamellar inclusions  in epithelial cell cytoplasm (arrows).
