WR8, case # 86-2

Clinical information: Nine year old  with multiple skin brown macules  suspected of histiocytosis X.
Diagnosis. Skin, biopsy: Urticaria Pigmentosa (Mastocytosis). 
Diagnostic features: Mastocytes with granules showing particulate content (Arrows).

WR 8, case # 86-3

Clinical information: 36 year old man with appendicitis. Gross description revealed a nodule. 
Diagnosis: Appendix,  Appendectomy: Acute appendicitis. Nodule: Carcinoid tumor.
Diagnostic features: Neuro endocrine granules (arrows).

WR 8, case # 87-1

Clinical information: 72 year old man with skin rash and nodules.
Diagnosis:
Skin biopsy: Signet Ring Lymphoma
Diagnostic features:
Cytoplasmic vacuoles with micro-spherules (arrows).

 

 

WR 8, case # 87-4

Clinical information: 61 year old man with a cerebellar nodule.
Diagnosis:
Cerebelum nodule, resection: Metastatic Adenocarcinoma (Primary probably G.I. Tract).
Diagnostic features
: Glandular
Microvilli with rootlets (arrows).

 

 

WR 8, case # 87-5

Clinical information: 22  year old female with arthralgia and ANA positive.
Diagnosis:
Renal Biopsy: Mesangial Lupus Glomerulonephritis (WHO class II).
Diagnostic features:
Diffuse mesangial deposits (short arrows). Micro tubular inclusions in endothelial cells (large arrow).
