Interviews are an integral part of the application process, designed to provide you with an opportunity to see first-hand the workings of our enthusiastic program. Applicants are invited to interview after review of the application materials. Interviews are held from November to February and are organized for you to spend a whole day with our faculty, and especially with our other residents.
The interview day starts off at Children's Hospital's Morning Report, which allows you to see the outstanding teaching that occurs on a daily basis. Then you will meet with the Program Director for an informal session on the nuts and bolts of the program. A couple of faculty interviews and time with the chief residents and program coordinator will fill the rest of the morning. Then a tour of Children's Hospital will be conducted by one of our residents followed by lunch at a notable New Orleans restaurant. You will be provided ample time to ask questions of the faculty and residents and to become closely acquainted with the program and the people who make this program outstanding.
