Research Interests
Research on on hearing and deafness. Focus is on the cochlea and other hair cell structures regarding the pharmacology of neurotransmitters, cell death (noise-induction deafness), and the mechanics of cochlea transduction. Techniques utilized include HPLC; patch clamp; in vivo, single nerve action potential recording; and gross, far-field, and nerve potential recording.
