Medical Student Summer Research Program

The Medical Student Summer Research Program was initiated in the early 1980's. This program was developed to make available to all students an opportunity to experience research so that they could gain an appreciation for the relationship between research and clinical practice. All Medical Students in good standing may participate. The student must commit 8 weeks to this work. The research sponsors supply the time, space, supplies, and the ideas. They mentor the students and help them to understand the techniques, time and commitment of the research studies.

Funding for this program comes from the Dean of the School of Medicine.
