Services - Hand Surgery

Hand surgery is an integral part of the LSU Plastic Surgery Residency training program. Patients with complex problems including congenital deformities, trauma, degenerative joint diseases, peripheral nerve disorders, brachial plexus injuries, etc. are evaluated and managed by plastic surgeons at LSU teaching and affiliated hospitals. Plastic surgery residents can enhance their hand anatomical knowledge in a didactic cadaver course and improve their surgical skills in the microsurgery lab. Residents train in a dedicated hand rotation with nationally recognized surgeons.
