Clinical and Research Interests:

My area of interest focuses primarily on diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders. I specialize in the psychopharmacologic treatment of children with mental illness-emotional and/or behavioral problems. I have a particular research interest in Disruptive Disorders (such ADHD) and in Psychotic Disorders, however, I am, also, involved in research and treatment of children and adolescents with anxiety and mood disorders. I am particularly interested in developing improved methods and techniques for the diagnosis of child/adolescent psychiatric disorders utilizing brain imagery studies and neuroanatomical functioning of patients with psychiatric Disorders.

I have lectured, written and completed research on the diagnosis and treatment of Autistic Disorders, Disruptive Disorders--ADHD, Depressive Disorders, Tourette?s and Psychotic Disorders in children and adolescents. Also, I have been involved in a number of research projects and published articles psychopharmacological treatments of children and adolescent with various psychiatric disorders.
