RESEARCH

 A wide variety of research opportunities exist within the section of Psychosomatic Medicine, collaborating with other specialties and the basic sciences. The clinical locations of the Interim LSU Hospital and the Psychosomatic Medicine Clinic afford the interested fellow a selected patient base to engage in clinical trials. The Psychosomatic Medicine faculty will aid any interested fellow in pursuing research and learning how to comply with the appropriate regulatory agencies. While a research project isn’t required, it is expected that the fellow will present a grand rounds for the department of psychiatry prior to graduation.
