Pulmonary/ Critical Care

LSUHSC’s Pulmonary/ Critical Care Physicians are nationally recognized lung specialists, committed to providing high quality, state-of-the art and timely care for patients at convenient locations. Our lung and respiratory experts also participate in clinical and basic research that advances the knowledge, treatment, and understanding of the diseases of the lung. Allergy/ Immunology

Allergists and Immunologists offer services for many conditions, including, but not limited to: Allergies, Adverse Reactions, Anaphylaxis (bee/wasp sting, fire ants, food reactions, drug induced and exercise related), Angioedema (swelling below the skin), Contact Lens Intolerance, Drug Reactions (due to taking too many medications), Urticaria (rash), Common Variable Immune Deficiency, Immunodeficiency Disorders, Chronic Infections  and others. Common diagnostic and treatment procedures inlcude allergen immunotherapy for allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, asthma; desensitization procedures for antibiotic and drug allergie; oral food challenges for food allergy confirmation; patch tests for cosmetics, fragrances, and other similar allergies and skin tests for inhalant, food, antibiotic, and drug allergies.
