Bio

Dr. Moncada is the former Chairman of Radiology of both Loyola University Medical Center and Cook County Hospital. He graduated from the University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico. His residency training was at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, followed by a two year Picker Foundation Fellowship at Cook County Hospital. Dr. Moncada also completed a Pediatric Radiology Fellowship at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago. He joined the LSUHSC faculty as an abdominal imager in 1999. He has extensive teaching experience and has authored 18 book chapters and over 80 papers on a variety of radiological topics.
