Bio

Dr. Riker is a committed and dedicated physician leader, never forgetting that ultimately it is about providing quality, compassionate and comprehensive care to all patients that he has the privilege of treating each day. Dr. Riker is a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained surgical oncologist with a very busy clinical practice, specializing in melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer and sarcoma (soft tissue and retroperitoneal). He has extensive experience as a physician leader, recently completing a two-year, comprehensive physician leadership program at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Chicago. He has been involved in clinical and translational cancer research for most, if not all, of his career. Dr. Riker enjoys teaching medical students, surgical residents and fellows (surgical oncology, breast oncology). He previously served as Program Director for the surgical breast oncology fellowship.
