• Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in the American male.
• Every 3 minutes an American male is diagnosed with prostate cancer.
• Every 16 minutes an American male dies from prostate cancer.
• African-American have significantly higher incidence and mortality rates from prostate cancer.
• Approximately 25 % of new cancer cases in the state of Louisiana will be prostatic in origin.
• The LEED program is a community-based program designed to educate men and their families about prostate cancer.
