Bio
As a transplant from Buffalo, N.Y., Dr. Davis never expected to fall in love with
the community and culture in New Orleans. However, she did just that — starting from
day one of her arrival 22 years ago. After college at Xavier University of Louisiana,
her heart’s desire was to enter medical school at Louisiana State University, and,
as such, she only applied to a few other places. She has remained loyal to LSU, earning
a residency spot in Internal Medicine, and ultimately a faculty role in the section
of General Internal Medicine. She currently serves as director of Student Health Services
at LSUHSC and is chair of the LSU Wellness Committee. Her areas of interest include
clinician well-being, preventative medicine, hepatitis C, and non-alcoholic fatty
liver disease.
Dr. Davis is married to her high school sweetheart, and a mother of two vibrant children,
Daniel and Deanna. Her interests include international travel, the Spanish language,
cooking, and running.
