Bio
Dr. Imsais is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana where he completed all of his education
and training. He attended LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, and following medical
school he remained at LSUHSC in New Orleans and completed a combined residency program
in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at the LSUHSC/Charity Hospital program.
Double boarded in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine, Dr. Imsais joined the
faculty of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas directly after residency where
he remained as faculty for almost 10 years. While in Houston he maintained practices
in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine, in both teaching and non-teaching
settings. His practice scope spanned all sectors including county, federal, and private
institutions. In 2017 he joined the faculty of the University of Texas Health Science
Center at San Antonio with dual appointments in the Department of Emergency Medicine
and the Department of Medicine. While at UT Health Science Center at the San Antonio
he served as medical director of the Emergency Department Observation Unit and the
Chest Pain Center.
In 2019 he was excited to return to New Orleans and to join the faculty of LSUHSC
in the Department of Medicine where he will continue his practice of both Internal
Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
