Bio
Dr. Yau earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO). He received his medical degree from LSUHSC-NO in 2017. Following this, he completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, as well as a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at LSUHSC-NO, finishing in 2021 and 2023, respectively. In 2023, he received the Residency Choice Award Fellow of the Year. Dr. Yau joined the faculty of the Section of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Internal Medicine at LSUHSC-NO in July 2023. His clinical practice encompasses HIV primary care, HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), sexually transmitted infections, and general infectious disease consultations.
