                                 Rajesh Mohandas MD MPH FASN is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Chief of the
                                    Section of Nephrology and Hypertension at Louisiana State University Health Sciences
                                    Center in New Orleans. He completed a fellowship in nephrology at the University of
                                    Florida (UF) on a T32 grant from the NIH. He joined the faculty in 2011 and was promoted
                                    to Associate Professor with tenure in 2018. He joined LSUHSC and UMC in March 2022.
                                    His clinical focus in on hypertension and chronic kidney disease. His laboratory studies
                                    the molecular mechanisms underlying the cardiovascular complications of kidney disease.
                                    His research has been published in high impact journals and funded by the National
                                    Institute of Health and the Veteran’s Administration.
                                 
                                 
                                 My Little Something Extra:
In his spare time Dr. Mohandas loves to spend time with his family and experience
                                    the rich food and music scene New Orleans has to offer. He loves the outdoors, tennis,
