Dr. Creel earned both her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health from LSUHSC-NO
in 2020. She went on to complete her Pediatric Residency at the University of Tennessee
Health Sciences Center in Memphis in 2023, followed by a Hospice and Palliative Medicine
Fellowship from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas in 2024, achieving
board certification in both specialties. During her fellowship, Dr. Creel presented
her work at regional and national conferences, including the Annual Assembly of Hospice
and Palliative Medicine. She has spent the past year as an Assistant Professor at
UT Southwestern and served as a Palliative Care physician at Parkland Hospital in
Dallas. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Creel back to the LSUHSC community where she
joins her husband, Dr. Colten Creel, a new Infectious Disease faculty member in the
Department of Medicine.
