Bio

Dr. McConaughey completed his Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship training with the department and has distinguished himself as an exceptional clinician, educator, and advocate for children with endocrine disorders. His scholarly work has focused on improving outcomes for children and adolescents with diabetes, including investigating health disparities, the impact of socioeconomic factors on diabetes management, and the use of emerging technologies to optimize care for high-risk youth. He has presented his work at regional and national scientific meetings, contributed to peer-reviewed publications, and demonstrated a longstanding commitment to advancing pediatric endocrine care through research, education, and community engagement. We are delighted to welcome Dr. McConaughey to our faculty and look forward to the expertise, compassion, and leadership he will bring to our patients, trainees, and academic community.
