Sebastián Del Corral Winder, Psy.D. (He/Him/Él)
Dr. Del Corral is a bilingual (Spanish/English) licensed clinical psychologist who provides trauma-informed and relationship-based services for children, adults, and families. Dr. Del Corral collaborates with Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice agencies to support children and families who have experienced trauma. He also works in specialized clinics in the community to deliver evidence-based treatments to families and individuals who have experienced trauma and violence. Dr. Del Corral is trained in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Time Limited Dynamic Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Play Therapy.
As an academic, Dr. Del Corral is the Director of the Latine Health Scholars Program (https://www.medschool.lsuhsc.edu/admissions/latine_health_scholars.aspx) and the Associate Director of Research in the Psychiatry Department. His research focuses on attachment, child maltreatment, intergenerational and systemic trauma, and reducing health inequities in the community. He also provides training and supervision on infant mental health and trauma services and is involved in several national committees investigating health equity and child maltreatment. Outside of his professional roles, Dr. Del Corral enjoys exploring all the restaurants in New Orleans and watching sports with his dog (Go Pels!).
