Bio
Tiffany Ardoin is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at LSU Health Sciences
Center (LSUHSC). She graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University with a B.S.
in Health Sciences Studies and went on to earn her M.D. from LSUHSC in New Orleans.
Dr. Ardoin completed her Internal Medicine residency training at LSUHSC in Baton Rouge
and served one year as Chief Resident prior to joining faculty. She is board certified
in both Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine.
Her academic clinical activities include resident and medical student education through
attending on inpatient wards and staffing in the outpatient clinics, and she is one
of the Associate Program Directors for the LSU Internal Medicine Residency Program
in Baton Rouge. Dr. Ardoin also leads the Weight and Wellness clinic with the Louisiana
Physicians Group. Her research interests include preventative medicine, food insecurity,
and food is medicine initiatives. Dr. Ardoin is the clinical director of the Geaux
Get Healthy Clinical Program at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital connecting food insecure
community members to cooking classes, nutrition classes and grocery store tours; and
is studying the effects of this program on metabolic health.
Dr. Ardoin is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the Gold Humanism Honor
Society, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and is on the local board
of the American Heart Association (AHA) Capital Area Chapter. She also sits on the
AHA Outpatient Quality Improvement Advisory Committee and the AHA Advocacy Coordinating
Committee.
