Bio
Lauren Miles is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the LSU Health Sciences
Center in Baton Rouge. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a BS in
Biochemistry and minor in Biology. She then metriculated to the University of Missouri
School of Medicine, where she earned her MD. She completed residency in Internal Medicine
at LSUHSC in Baton Rouge. Dr. Miles then went on to complete fellowships in Nephrology
at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and Critical Care Medicine at the Medical University
of South Carolina (MUSC).
Dr. Miles' clinical and teaching responsibilities include attending the inpatient
nephrology consultation service at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, the
medical and surgical intensive care units at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical
Center and Baton Rouge General Hospital, and the outpatient nephrology clinic. Additionally,
she maintains a private nephrology clinic and sees patients on home dialysis at Fresenius
Medical Center. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
