Bio
Mike Sanchez is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at LSU Health Sciences
Center (LSUHSC). He received a B.S. in Biology from the University of New Orleans,
and an M.D. from LSUHSC in New Orleans. Dr. Sanchez completed his Internal Medicine
residency at LSUHSC in Baton Rouge, and also served a year as Chief Resident. He
completed a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at the Wake Forest Medical
Center.
Dr. Sanchez’s clinical and teaching responsibilities include supervising LSU Pulmonary
and Critical Care services at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Baton
Rouge General Hospital and participating in the resident didactics series. His interests
focus on critical care, simulation training, advanced bronchoscopy procedures, and
medical education.
